Alongside The Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture, The Landworkers’ Alliance, the Community Supported Agriculture Network UK and Tamar Grow Local, we will be developing a regionally-led land matching service backed by a centralised support team and a comprehensive digital platform. The service will forge new land partnerships to support the growth in agroecological production whilst seeking better understanding of land justice issues and inequalities to pave the way for a more productive, fair and diverse food and farming landscape.
In this initial year-long development phase, Shared Assets’ role will be focused on contributing to the work on power and accountability with landowners, deepening connections with marginalised (potential) farmers, and leading on the governance and financial model proposals, project management and evaluation. We will also contribute in a smaller way to future funding bids, resource creation, and research.
