Much of our work revolves around the way decisions are made about land, and who gets to make them. Land questions are often, at their heart, complex governance questions.
We are environmental governance experts, able to support the establishment and review of governance arrangements from a small group or organisation through to the implementation of complex multistakeholder governance of land and assets at the scale of a town, city or landscape.
How we make decisions about land and who gets to make them is a key issue in the current land system and we believe the process needs to be more transparent, accountable and better support people's autonomy, freedom and liberation. We are inspired by Elinor Ostrom's thinking about commons governance and have a particular interest in how these principles can be applied to land, buildings, waterways and landscapes.
