The land system – the way we own, manage and make decisions about land – affects all of us. But it's almost invisible. It's rarely talked about and we want to change that.
We have a wealth of experience of developing practical solutions for managing land and buildings that deliver shared benefits to communities. We enjoy working with enterprising community organisations and helping them through the complex process of acquiring land or buildings, through either coaching and light-touch support, or delivering a more intensive consultancy service.
We can't escape the fact we are living in a system that treats land as a commodity and a store of wealth, driving up prices of housing and agricultural land, and that no matter how innovative or inspiring some of the community-led models we work with are, they will always be disadvantaged by that system. We are working to build movements for land justice and establish new narratives about land.
